With the support of Coimisiún na Meán, the Writers Guild of Ireland are excited to announce that they will be hosting SCÉALTA, a half-day, in person Irish-language panel event at 11am on Tuesday 3rd November in CREW for WGI Members.
They will speak with three writers about their experiences of building and sustaining a career writing in the Irish language and will explore such themes as oral tradition of storytelling and how landscape, culture and language influence story.
Joining the panel will be Fiona Ní Dhuibhir (Ros na Rún, Síol), Greg O’Braonain (Ros na Rún, Drop Dead Weird) and Sheena Lambert (Báite, Cosima) with moderator Damian McCann (Aontas, Doineann).
After the Scéalta panel and audience Q&A, they will host Meet the Guild with WGI Chair Jennifer Davidson and Executive Director Ciarán Hayden. This will be followed by coffee and networking.

Please note: stipends are available for those with caring needs that would otherwise prevent them from attending.
