Stimulating Performance of Ecosystems in Creative Territories and Regional Actors. CREW is partnered with the Western Development Commission (Ireland), Creative Business Network (Denmark), Media Deals (Germany), BIC Innobridge (Bulgaria), and associate partners Galway Culture Company and Atlantic Technological University.
SPECTRA is focused on the growth of regions of emerging and moderate innovation, through the partnership and sharing of best practices from leading innovator regions. The aim to create a more responsive, resilient ecosystem, capable of growing and developing coordinated responses to the many challenges the creative industries are facing. It focuses on collaboration resulting in enhanced, inter-connected, diverse, gender-responsive, competitive and sustainable ecosystems.

Galway Culture Company and CREW are inviting applications for a Creative Practitioner in Residence programme based at the new CREW Creative Enterprise & Innovation Hub in Galway.
Building and fostering a creative enterprise community is one of CREW’s core values; we are seeking digital creatives/creative tech practitioners to participate in a month-long residency programme exploring the theme of Creative Communities. This may include ideas such as the future of Technology x Creative Practice, the role of AI in Creative Communities, Inclusion and Belonging, Global Networks.
The second residency programme between Ireland and France for digital artists with a background and expertise in the use of immersive technologies and many types of digital media for creating future narratives for immersive storytelling. This project is produced by Culture Works, and in partnership with Galway Culture Company, the French Embassy in Ireland, HACNUM Network, Pole PIXEL, ATU and the Centre for Creative Technologies at the University of Galway.
We are pleased to support this project, led by th Institute of Design in Ireland (IDI), Local Enterprise Office Galway (LEO Galway), and Galway Culture Company. This initiative pairs five graduate designers with five forward-thinking companies to foster collaboration, and tackling read-world, intricate challenges. The designers will be given the opportunity to be based in the CREW Creative Enterprise & Innovation Hub, providing an opportunity to be immersed in the CreaTech ecosystem and engage with CREW members.
A feasibility study for the development of a shared island ‘Atlantic Region of Creative Content (ARCC)’ including virtual production facilities in Northern, Western and North-West regions of Ireland. Blu Zebra Ltf was commissioned by Galway Culture Company on behalf of Galway City Council, and in coordination with CREW. The project partners are Derry City & Strabane District Council, Western Development Commission, Atlantic Technological University and University of Ulster. This study was funded by the Shared Island Fund.

This project is based on the premise that a greener, more resilient economic model is the way of the future for the EU Creative Industries sector. Creative entrepreneurs must be equipped with the skills to learn, implement and innovate circular business models to adapt to the future requirements and preferences of customers. Project outputs include exploratory panels, a Circular Economy for Creative Business training course, a knowledge sharing platform and a zero-waste marketplace event planning guide.

In partnership with Galway Culture Company, Pole PIXEL, HACNUM Network, the French Embassy in Ireland and Atlantic technological University, and produced by CultureWorks.
The residency is a collaboration between Ireland and France, supporting three Irish Artists and three French artists by providing artists working in digital arts with the time and space to interrogate access to public space through artistic/digital means and seeks to explore what it means to create digital artworks in the public space in the current climate of societal change.
