LEAN Productivity Accelerator
Workshop + on‑site mentoring to deliver real workplace improvements
LEAN Productivity Accelerator is a practical programme designed to help Galway-based SMEs improve productivity, reduce wasted effort and strengthen how everyday work is done.
The programme combines in‑person learning, structured follow‑up and on‑site one‑to‑one mentoring, ensuring that improvements are implemented in the workplace — not left on paper.
What the Programme Involves
1. In‑Person Workshop
Participants attend a full-day interactive workshop focused on:
Understanding how work flows in the business
Identifying where time, effort and resources are being lost
Learning practical tools to improve processes in office and operational environments
Building confidence to tackle recurring problems and inefficiencies
The workshop blends short inputs, discussion, examples and hands‑on group exercises to ensure learning is practical and relevant.
2. Structured Follow‑Up (Between Sessions)
Following the workshop, each business completes a short set of structured activities to:
Establish a baseline of current performance
Identify priority areas for improvement
Highlight where errors, delays or wasted effort occur
Clarify business targets and what success should look like
This preparation ensures the on‑site mentoring time is focused on what matters most.
3. On‑Site Mentoring (Two Days per Business)
Each participating business receives two dedicated on‑site mentoring days:
Mentoring Day 1
Review the business in its real working environment
Validate priorities identified during the follow‑up stage
Agree a focused improvement plan with quick wins and longer‑term actions
Establish a clear baseline to measure progress
Mentoring Day 2
Review progress and support implementation
Address challenges or stalled actions
Compare results against the original baseline
Agree sustainment actions and next steps
The mentoring days are practical, collaborative and tailored to each business.
4. Final Participant Presentations
The programme concludes with a final group session, held online or in person.
Each business delivers a short presentation outlining:
Improvements achieved
Challenges encountered
Key learnings
What they will continue to build on after the programme
This session supports reflection, shared learning and momentum across the cohort.
