The TRI-CREATES project represents a transformative initiative aimed at embedding innovation and entrepreneurship within 4 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across diverse European regions. With a consortium spanning 5 countries—Ireland, Portugal, Romania, Türkiye, and Denmark—the project connects strong, moderate, and emerging innovation ecosystems. It brings together a dynamic mix of HEIs, industry partners, SMEs, and innovation networks, ensuring cross-disciplinary and cross-regional collaboration.
Over its duration, TRI-CREATES will deliver tangible impact at scale, including training 880 students, mentoring 130 students, equipping 180 academic staff and 160 non-academic staff with entrepreneurial skills, supporting the creation of 36 start-ups, establishing 14 new partnerships, and developing 14 improved support structures.
By leveraging this robust geographical spread and the diverse expertise of its partners, TRI-CREATES aligns closely with EIT HEI objectives to foster inclusive, sustainable, and innovative ecosystems. This consortium’s focus on creativity, sustainability, digital innovation, and regional entrepreneurship ensures the project will deliver systemic change, empower stakeholders, and create lasting impact across participating regions.
TRI CREATES is a project under Strand A of the EIT HEI Initiative: Innovation and Entrepreneurship capacity building at HEIs. Phase One runs from April – Dec 2025.
